Lulu's Cafe in Laguna Hills offers a decidedly neighborhood-style dining experience focused on breakfast, brunch, and lunch with a distinctly French-inspired menu. The café’s modest footprint belies a surprisingly roomy interior, accommodating both casual solo diners and small groups, making it a convenient stop for those traveling along Alicia Parkway or locals seeking a reliable morning or midday meal that’s a bit different from standard American fare.

The atmosphere feels approachable and quietly European, highlighted by a French-themed decor and a team that brings a genuine warmth to service, often making repeat visitors feel like part of the morning ritual. The place tends to draw in couples on breakfast dates, families, and anyone looking to linger over savory or sweet crepes, hearty omelettes, or elevated sandwiches paired with house salads and soups.

Menu highlights lean heavily into both classic and inventive crepes—savory options like the mushroom and spinach omelette or the ham and gruyere crepe come with subtle sauces that avoid overwhelming the core ingredients, though some cheese-forward dishes might not suit every palate. On the sweeter side, crepes with items such as caramelized apples or chocolate-hazelnut stand out as well-prepared without being overly indulgent. Savory sandwiches and salads offer familiar comfort food that fits the café’s casual yet slightly refined tone, complemented by a friendly staff that often recommends daily specials and offers bread or muffins to start your meal.

Breakfast here is best enjoyed on quieter weekday mornings when the dining room is calm enough to savor the layers of flavor in each dish. Weekends bring a livelier crowd, illustrating the café’s local popularity, but persistent customers will note the familiar faces of staff who make regulars feel welcome despite the busier atmosphere. Those sensitive to strong cheeses or looking for classic brunch fare may find some dishes ambitious but worth trying, especially the salmon crepe that receives consistent praise for its balance.

Overall, Lulu’s Cafe suits anyone in Laguna Hills who wants an unpretentious spot to have a thoughtfully prepared brunch or lunch with a European touch. It’s a place where the food and service lean on authenticity and comfort rather than flash, making it a quietly satisfying option for local families, couples on a casual breakfast date, or anyone craving authentic crepes near the I5 corridor.

I was brought here for a breakfast date today and it was amazing. I got the Three eggs any style with bacon but I had French toast on brioche bread which I've never had in my life and I feel this is how French toast should be made every time instead of Texas French toast. my lady got the crêpe with bacon and spinach with cheese and white sauce.I will come back very soon thank you very much for your hospitality and good coffee.

This place seems small but they had a lot of seating spaces. Their menu is extensive and lots of French theme/inspired food selections. We ordered the croissanwich with ham and egg, and La Champignon omelette with spinach. I also ordered a side of sausage with the omelette. The omelette tasted good, but by itself is pretty boring. The sausage actually added that extra lift that it's missing. The croissanwich is delicious. It is a good vegetarian meal. The serving size is generous and it comes with a side of potatoes or fresh fruit and a toast. Service is a little slow but the employees are all kind.

Very good breakfast. The salmon crepe was the highlight of the meal definitely a 5 star on it's own. The Francaise crepe was ok, I enjoyed it but not as much as the salmon one. I found the cheese very pungent and seemed to overpower the mushrooms and chicken but I like strong cheeses so I definitely finished it. If you are used to standard crepes stick with the sweet ones but if you are feeling adventurous the salmon crepe is the way to go, it has a good mix of smokey salmon and salty capers with delicious cream cheese to blend them together.

Most of the food is good. I don't recommend the croque Madame, but the rest of the food is mainly on point. A French lady runs the place. The decor is French themed. The menu itself has a mix of French, American, Mexican and other options. I recommend the blintzes and the crepes. They give you bread and muffins to start.

Still one of the best breakfast/brunch places around town. Perfectly located right of the I-5 on Alicia Parkway! It is not a chain restaurant. And that makes a huge difference. Sammir, Susan, Lulu, Marlene, and Lina are such wonderful people. They always make us feel welcomed. We have been coming to this place for about a year or so, maybe a bit more. It can get crowded here, it all depends on the time. We are usually there every Sunday or sometimes every two Sundays right after church. The food is really good, they already know our order (They come to our table and say: The usual?) lol, today I did have my first Mimosa… lol. It was so delicious. Definitely, still recommended!! Dine-in (Inside or outside)

We were looking for crepes and found this great little spot. Veggie omelette, eggs Benedict, Greek omelette, Dulce de Leche crepes and apple cinnamon crepes. Great iced coffee. Big portions. Outside seating. Can’t wait to come back to try one of their savory crepes.

What a great find! I actually met Lulu herself, although she no longer owns this place. She was so friendly. I loved the French onion soup, and it reminded me of the soups I had at a very fancy French restaurant in Los Angeles and New York. Here, it's available at a fraction of the costs there in LA and NY but the soup tastes just as good, if not better. Salad was fresh and delicious, too. Lulu told me that the savory chicken crepe was her favorite, and I agree with her. I shall return!

Very small, cute, place with plenty of outdoor seating; great for brunch! Went for breakfast on a weekday and it was still quite busy. Had an amazing quiche with a very fresh tasting side salad. Finished with a Kir Royale which was a pleasant treat. Also tried the Normandy Omelette which was extremely hearty and very filling. Overall, this place is a must try!
